Warm, damp air gets into closed-up RVs and settles on fabrics, carpet and hidden surfaces. That is where musty smells and mildew come from.
Open vents and windows when it is safe, run fans, and use the air conditioning regularly so moisture does not build up.
Clean up condensation, wet towels and spills right away. Keep the bathroom and kitchen dry after use.
Place moisture absorbers in cabinets and closets, and replace them as directed on the product.
Follow your owner’s manual for air filter care, and look for signs of leaks. If you see damp spots, have the source checked.
