How to Clean a Boat Head and Bathroom

Good Price Detailing · Southeast Florida

Ventilate first

Open a hatch or run the vent fan. Fresh air makes the job easier and helps the room dry afterward.

Use products that are safe for your system

Choose cleaners that are safe for marine toilets and sanitation systems, and follow the labels. If you are not sure, check your owner’s manual.

Clean the surfaces

Wipe the sink, counters, shower area and mirror, and clean around fixtures where residue collects.

Dry the room

Wipe up water and leave the door open when you can. Damp rooms are where mildew starts.

If odors persist

Persistent odors may point to a plumbing or system issue. Clean the surfaces thoroughly, then ask a marine professional to check the system.
