Cleaning Your Boat After a Fishing Trip

Rinse right away

Rinse the deck, coolers and fish boxes with fresh water before bait and blood dry on the surface.

Scrub the problem spots

Use a soft brush and boat-safe soap on the deck, fish box and cutting areas. Pay attention to drains and corners where residue collects.

Clean the coolers and livewells

Empty and rinse them, scrub them out, and let them dry with the lids open.

Deal with odors

Odors come from leftover residue. Clean the source instead of covering it up, and rinse well.

Dry and store

Let everything dry fully, and keep the boat ventilated so it is fresh for the next trip.
